Shawnett
Shawnett enjoys interacting with and meeting all of the different people who come through To Be Like Me. She loves educating others and raising awareness about disabilities. Shawnett has Larsen syndrome and is hard of hearing. She was Ms. Wheelchair Texas 2020! Shawnett is involved in serving her community through REACH, Rainbow Days, the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee of the Arc of Texas, the Star Kids Managed Care Committee with HHSC, and as the Regional RevUp Member for Denton County. She is a Disability Law, Policy, and Innovation Fellow with The Coelho Center’s Disability Law Fellowship Program at Marymount Law School in LA. In her free time, Shawnett likes to read, crochet, and sew. She loves to be outside in nature and roll on the trails too.
